Kentucky determines no eligibility issues or rules violations for any current student-athletes or staff

The University of Kentucky has spoken.

After conducting an internal investigation yesterday afternoon, the school determined “there were no eligibility issues or rules violations for any current student-athletes or staff.”

They also said they would continue to work with all authorized authorities on the other issues at hand.

Here was the official statement from the Kentucky men’s basketball account:

Looks like Kevin Knox will officially be playing tonight.

Flash forward two years and the headline will be: UK loses scholarships and vacates wins from 2017-2018 season after ncaa determines knox received a meal paid for by a staff member of the ASM sports agency. In other breaking news, wendell carter is cleared of all wrong doing by ncaa.

It’s MONOPOLY, and Puke and UNCheat have a lifetime “Get out of Jail Free” card.

Essentially just copied the Duke response. Smart to do the same exact thing as a school who won’t get in trouble.

Yes but less than 24 hrs ago KSR were making fun of Duke yet we’re doing the same?

Plus…all they have to do is pay back the meal and it’s a non issue.

At least the Kentucky Compliance Dept took 24+ hours to investigate. dUKe came out 6 hours later saying they had a “full” investigation and confirmed there were no issues. A quick call to the NCAA saying “Have you seen this sh*t? Hahaha we’re good.” NCAA’s response, “Yes we saw it, of course you’re fine. Hope you guys win it all. Call if you need anything.” Coach K blushingly finishes with a “Thanks Dad.”

Andrew McGee if UL can find him. I thought Padgett deserved to stay.

I think it looks good on Kentucky for taking their time to ACTUALLY investigate this.To me it shows a couple things: A) UK didn’t know about this prior, and had to have time to correctly investigate and B) It looks good in the respect that UK “IS AND WILL” be doing their due diligence to make sure they get it right.Rather than just automatically coming out and saying “All good, Let’s move on”They showed that they are serious about investigating. Just my 2 cents worth.

Agreed – the only potential problem will be Bam and that’s not a program directed probation type problem like UL and ‘Zona may face, it’s at worst eligibility. And frankly the school looks like the victim in some of these, bc there’s no way to know if an agent pays a kid to use them later no matter where they attend. Now if they are directing them to attend, different issue entirely (Rick).

Is 24 hours really taking time to do a full investigation. I mean what can they investigate, just like pUKe. All they can really do is ask the player if it happened and go by what he says, could be done in less time than the shot clock. Whjat else could they look at, I am talking about for the current players, they have no documents etc.

I find it unlikely that UK was totally in the dark on this. Do you think no one had asked Knox if he had any contact with an agent? Unless of course he said no.

It’s sort of like all those Trump officials caught lying to the FBI.
No one thinks they will get caught…until they do.

DelRay u mean the ones who said they only had one device and turned out to have a few, the ones who said they didn’t know the server wasn’t secure but emails ahowed they did? Those “Trump officials” were named Hillary, Huma and Cheryl.

Nice deflection. Another person who can’t even admit that 3 KEY campaign officials have PLEAD GUILTY (with one more to come) and yet you and your ilk always try to change the subject to pin something on HRC. She must have been smarter than every Republican for the last 20 years since she’s never even been charged with a crime…and not for a lack of trying. And how many of Obama officials were ever charged with crimes? Geez..the complicity on the right is mind-boggling.

Yeah, and the fact they are just kids. Rule changes need to be put in place IMO to protect these kids and fend off agents and their dollars.
