Well, that was awesome. Behind strong guard play and an explosive performance by Marcus Lee, Kentucky beat Duke 74-63 in game one of the Champions Classic. The first ten minutes or so were ugly, but the last thirty more than made up for it.
Tyler Ulis led the way for the Cats with 18 points and six assists, followed by Jamal Murray with 16 points and five assists. Isaiah Briscoe and Marcus Lee chipped in 12 and 10 points, respectively.
More to come all night…right, Jamal?
