The team has officially arrived in Tuscaloosa, and they’re getting right to work, as seen in this video posted on the Kentucky Basketball Twitter account.

What’s the team working on? The video shows some pretty basic stuff. Half the team appears to be running line drills while the other half is shooting. But based on what Coach Cal had to say in his press conference earlier today, they have some tough practices behind them already.

“They know we gotta create some habits that we’ve gotten away from. Some of it was just plain energy, effort and enthusiasm. And others it was some little technical stuff, both on offense and defense, that we had to do different things”

The account also posted a high-speed video of the team “getting back to playing fast.”

On the defensive end, Calipari still wants to see improvement.

“Where we are defensively I’m not happy with, but the last two days and even Monday’s practice, where we were zeroed in on moving that ball on offense, they’re responding,” Calipari said. “We’ve got to get back to having a defensive presence and making it about defense. We’ve got great kids who are learning.”

Almost all the guys running line drills aren’t getting anywhere close to the lines.
