Kentucky and Michigan will reportedly NOT play this season, series pushed back

USA Today

The Kentucky vs. Michigan series will reportedly be pushed back an entire year.

After Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe reported this afternoon that this year’s highly-anticipated London Showcase is expected to be pushed back to Dec. 2022, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports is now reporting that the entire series will be put on hold for the 2020-21 season.

Instead of moving part of the home-and-home series up to this year, Kentucky will instead travel to Ann Arbor to take on the Wolverines in 2021-22, followed by the London trip in 2022-23, and then back to Lexington for 2023-24.

Following the London Showcase at The O2 this December, Kentucky was originally set to play at Michigan in 2021 before hosting the Wolverines at Rupp Arena in 2022.

Now, the Kentucky basketball program will have to add a new non-conference game to its schedule in December this year.

Texas. We’re usually recruiting 1 or 2 players from there so that would seem to fit Cal’s philosophy.

Hopefully we get another Cleveland state level home game instead. That would be amazing.
