Kentucky a three-seed in ESPN’s latest Bracketology

After six top ten teams went down on Saturday, Bracketology has a new look this week. Kentucky slipped from a two-seed to a three-seed in Joe Lunardi’s latest predictions, setting up a potential Sweet 16 matchup with two-seed North Carolina:

No thanks. Meanwhile, CBS Sports’ Jerry Palm moved Kentucky to a four-seed in the Midwest Region:

Not a fan of either of these scenarios, but given the parity in college basketball right now, Kentucky still has an opportunity to improve its seed. Remember, on Saturday, the Selection Committee will unveil its top 16 teams. Right now, a three or four seed sounds about right.

With the losses we’ve had against the better teams we’ve played (in addition to the tennessee loss), I think a four seed is legitimate at this point.

I think we will still get a 2 or 3 in the end. Also, Baylor just lost to K-State at home and they’re still a 1?! I hope we get them. UNC worries me, though.

It would take one hell of a tweak for us to get a 3-seed.

This team is feeling more and more like the #8 seed team from 2010-11 that lost to UCONN in the NC. I still think we can get it together in time to make a run at it in the tourney, but we’re gonna take a few more Ls in the process. I won’t be surprised if we drop to a 4 or 5 seed.

That’s fair. Speaking of UCONN, someone wanting Cal out said UCONN has 2 ‘ships since Cal has been at UK. I wonder if they even have a winning record this year….I doubt it.
