Before the team left for the Bahamas, John Calipari said he would probably only coach two games in the Bahamas in order to be able to sit back and watch without worrying about game management. This morning, Cal announced that Kenny Payne will coach today’s game so he and Tony Barbee can watch and evaluate.

I’m setting the over/under on minutes it takes before Cal screams at his team at three.

Cal will make it to the 1st timeout before he gets boisterous.

    I wish there were a Cal-cam today.

He’s borrowing this from Rat Face. If they lose, it goes on the assistant’s W-L record.

It doesn’t go on anyone’s record, it’s an exhibition game.

Maybe Cal just not coaching the players today?

Maybe it’s just an exhibition, but it gives the assistants a chance to coach in game conditions for experience/confidence. As Cal says – he wants everyone to succeed. My guess would be that Coach Payne will be taking a job as the HC somewhere sooner rather than later.
