Keldon Johnson named SEC Freshman of the Week

Kentucky’s Keldon Johnson is the Freshman of the Week in the Southeastern Conference, the league announced Monday afternoon.

Johnson averaged 20 points and seven rebounds in wins over Winthrop and Tennessee State last week. In the Tennessee State game, the 6-6 wing scored a career-high 27 points, the most points by any UK player in a single game this season.

He currently leads the Wildcats with 16.5 points per game through six games.

It is Johnson’s first time winning the SEC’s Freshman of the Week award, but likely not his last.

U6 has some recruiting possibilities here. As much as I hate Cal I will say the kids he brings in seem to be good people, the ones in this link are thugs that U6 will be looking for.

Keldon is the only UK player with an NBA future. He is an MKG type player that won’t be a star at the next level but a consistent contributor.

The only player that has played with any consistency this year.

Bb2284. I believe pj, nick, herro, Montgomery, hagens, also will have long careers. You really never know with cal because he can make a kid get everything out of himself. So who knows maybe another one or two. Lol

He has to be our number one guy. That doesn’t mean that JASUN74 is wrong, in fact I agree with him 100%. You just never know who will shine at the end.
