Keldon Johnson falls to Zion Williamson, others, in McDonald’s All-American Dunk Contest

Two Wildcats competed in McDonald’s All-American events tonight. Immanuel Quickley took home co-champion honors in the Three-Point Shootout, but unfortunately, Kentucky commit Keldon Johnson couldn’t pull off the victory in the Dunk Contest.

After several challenging dunk attempts with zero finishes, Johnson ran out of time and finished his first attempt with a 70/100 minimum score.

In his second try, however, the future Wildcat wing pulled off a ridiculous 360-degree windmill slam with ease.

Take a look:

Unfortunately for Johnson, his first attempt held him back from reaching the final round of the contest.

The champion? Five-star Duke signee Zion Williamson, who converted on some of the most disgusting dunks I’ve ever seen in my life.

Take a look at just a few:

Why did he have to go to Duke?

Good effort by Johnson, but this event was made for Zion Williamson and he won the title fair and square.

WTF makes you think UK fans….who unanimously hate DUKE…would care anything about watching a DUKE commit in a dunk contest?

If you come across a video of Grayson Allen getting tripped, and falling face-first into a huge pile of dog sh*t…or broken glass…by all means, post it.

Zion will be a good player..He spent the vast majority of his ball playing in public school with far less talented players and most of them barely 6ft tall,no prep school. No denying the talent, but there will be an a learning curve with him.No Bagley,Durant,Simmons etc…

I do agree he won’t be some dominant player like some seem to think, but he’ll be fun to watch

That’s why his going to Duke is so tragic for him. Kids with transcendent levels of talent do okay at Duke, but kids who have some things to work on, well, they almost always end up worse-off for going to Duke, with their pro hopes mostly dashed.

Yep he blew it STE. He’d been a better pro if he’d came here.

It was cool and all seeing a girl who could dunk, but advancing her just because she could do a routine dunk cost some deserving guys a spot in the latter rounds.

Would have liked to have seen that. I read about volleyball players all the time who can touch upwards of 11 feet, so I would be surprised that there are not more female athletes who can dunk on a 10-foot goal.

He’s still feeling good from that Jeff Capel payday.

You may think you are sayibg something cool. But you are publicly accusing real people of fraud. Williamson and Bagley made a choice that was different from what some people who post here wanted or expected. But that’s life. Personally, I don’t respect Capel’s past. But it’s possible, in fact probable, that good players are signing with Duke because that’s the choice that makes sense to them and their families. From the FBI leaks, we know UL and Arizona have broken rules. Unless you have actual evidence, it is unfortunate that some of our spoiled, immature fans are throwing the same accusation at Duke, basically, because they want all these players at UK and don’t have the maturity to respect the players’ decisions. But if you have actual evidence (and not just your circumstantial suspicions), then let’s hear it.

Easy Rembrandt. I think Capel has some history. It’s not like Cryingtheblues is holding a press conference here

He thinks he’s saying something funny, and I can see the humor in it. The shadiness of Capel is well publicized, and Duke’s recruiting success with 1-and-dones suddenly picked up after he was hired. At least one national sports writer has called this out, so it’s not like it’s just UK fans talking about it. And there has been plenty in the way of scandals at Duke that have just been swept under the rug by the press and the NCAA – most recently the Lance Thomas jewelry scandal. So I hope you can understand why a lot of UK fans are sick of hearing about Duke and how great they are, and are ready to throw some shade at them. I have seen you posting on KSR in the past, so pretty sure you are a UK fan and not some troll posing as one, and I can see the angle that you are speaking from – that it is not a good look for the UK fan base to be accusing Duke of the same things that rival fan bases have been accusing Cal of for years. But you also have to see where this angst is coming from – we are sick of seeing UNC and Duke getting off with no punishment at all from the NCAA and being coddled by the media when they are dirty as hell. I see no reason why we can’t poke some fun at the situation here on a UK fan page. And I have a sneaking feeling that it will turn out to be true. 🙂

Go to a University 6 fan page. And thank your lucky stars that a conference like the ACC let your school in before all the scandalous stuff came out.

Matt Jones would have no chance to win Mitch McConnells seat. I am a die hard KSR fan and BBN fan but definitely not a matt Jones fan and would never vote for him. He is very disrespectful to his callers continually talks over top of them cuts them off won’t let them finish what there saying. Matt is way to full of himself and his sports knowledge is very low compared to what he thinks he is.
