Orlando Antigua and the Dominican Republic National Team just trimmed their roster to fifteen, and not surprisingly, Eloy Vargas and Karl Towns made the cut. Here’s the complete roster as of now: Jack Michael Martínez, Ricky Greer, Francisco García, Manuel Fortuna, Ronald Ramón, Edward Santana, Edgar Sosa, Eulis Báez, Juan Coronado, Eloy Vargas, Manny Quezada, Karl Towns, Brandone Francis, Gerardo Suero and James Feldeine.

The team will cut the roster again to 12 before the FIBA Americas Championship, which starts on August 30. Eloy has 11 points and Towns 5 in the team’s loss on Tuesday night. Check out Towns in action:

Once I learn Spanish, I promise I’ll be able to give you all some better updates.

I thought Balkman was kicked out of PR for fighting his coach or teammate or something?

I don’t follow the DR team that closely so I’m 99.9% sure there’s an obvious answer, but wasn’t Al Horford on the national team before?

Towns looked a bit weak on the defensive end. His man went right by him for an uncontested layup on one play. Then on the next or 2nd play later he failed to cover the weak side and allowed another uncontested layup. Kid’s got potential, though.
