I have followed you guys since you were (I think) Magloire52 on other message boards before KSR even went up. You have become such a staple in the state that I had to include you guys in my new book “The Light In the Dark”, which takes place in Central KY. The link is below:

    As always, GO CATS!

When UK defeated U of L in December 2001 a Louisville fan was quoted in the Courier-Journal ” you better enjoy it now that will be the last time you beat Pitino”. Since that game the record is 10-5 for the Cats. Since Cal has took over the Cats the series is becoming more and more lopsided and will continue. I will continue to enjoy the Cats beating Pitino.

Cal has owned uofl and Rick. He has also had twice the talent. Cal has more on this team than Rick has had his entire time at uofl. Yet, both have the same number of titles at their respective schools.

So is the talent comparison a jab at Cal or Rick? Surely you’re not penalizing Cal for getting better talent. And how many more years has Rick been at UofL? Apples to oranges. Count the titles of each in a few years and see how they compare then.

      Let’s see:
      Louisville won in football.
      Kentucky won in men’s basketball (2x), women’s basketball, volleyball (2x), softball (2x), baseball (won 2, lost 1), and women’s soccer (2x).

      So, about that……..

Love that you (Bob) post on a UK website…..that actually demonstrates Kentucky’s dominance more than anything. I can tell you I have never been to a U of L website or message board and never plan on it. Go Cats!

Nice one, Ryan. And I wonder if the true and rational UofL fans (I’m sure there are a few) appreciate the boneheads that come on here and try (and fail) to talk trash and stir things up

For as bad as we were in 2012, we probably should have won that game in Louisville. If I remember, we came back in the second half then faded away again.

      9:17 pm August 27, 2014 Permalink

UK still only lost that game by 5. Shows you how different that team was with and without Nerlens in the lineup… with – 5 points away from beating the eventual NC, without – well, let’s not go there.

    • Sam
      9:19 pm August 27, 2014 Permalink

Lost by 2 points in the Chickencoop. Typical home cooking. Only game the dirty birds have won since Cal has been at the reins. The Cards have lost six of seven to the Wildcats. One more three pointer by Archie or Kyle or whomever….., and Cal would be 7 and 0. Lil Bro was lucky to win that one. But we’ll just have to be happy with 6 of 7, I guess.

My bad. Looked it up. Cats lost by 3,..instead of 2. Home cooking, which is always the case at the chickencoop.

Wondering how you guys feel about all those single digit wins UK has had over Louisville when the talent level gap was so wide? Funny how the close game loss is a moral victory for UK while 5 (of the 6) close game losses for Louisville is considered “domination” by BBN.

    • A win is a win
      10:11 pm August 28, 2014 Permalink

So you’re saying Louisville essentially sucked in 5 (of the 6 games), and we should have destroyed them?

Sounds like you are searching for moral victories. Don’t worry – we are gonna cram it down your throats this year…

Matt. also remind everyone that ‘Rick’ is 5-10 alltime against the Cats….soon to be 5-11.

SLICK RICK is 7-12 against UK. He was 4-6 VS Tubby, 2-0 VS Billy G and now 1-6 VS Cal. He even had a losing record against Tubby who everyone says couldn’t coach. And Tubby did this with his players, all of Ricks players were gone by the time he got to LOSERVILLE. I’m sure Rick hated seeing Billy G leave more than anybody.

    • Dee W.
      12:09 am August 28, 2014 Permalink

You’ve got the right numbers, but used them a bit wrong – he lost 4 out of 6 times against Tubby – so the record was 2 – 4 – quite an abysmal showing.

So, out of 6 meetings, Pitino beat Tubby 2 times, and Tubby beat him 4 times. (2 wins, 4 losses – losing record – lost 4 out of 6 times against Tubby)
Out of 2 meetings, Pitino beat Billy G both times (2 wins, 0 losses – winning record – won 2 out of 2 times against Billy G)
Out of 7 meetings, Pitino beat Cal 1 time and Cal has beat him 6 times (1 win, 6 losses – losing record – lost 6 out of 7 times against Cal)

Overall Pitino record against UK: 5 wins, 10 losses – lost 10 out 15 times

Just wait!!! The cards are getting ready to dominate this series for the future! We will dominate and our Card Trick show will win the ratings war!! Matt Jones and the Wildcats are on borrowed time!!!! Cal is a cheater and Pitino is a great family man! Rick is cool and Cal is a jerk. Go Cards! For life!!! UL has been so overwhelmed and overmatched with UK’s talent they have been favored in 4 of the 7 games. That’s right, Rick is such a better “coach” that he was supposed to win 4, but only won 1. He was favored in both games this past year, lost both, favored at home with his title team and won (the only time) and was favored at YUM in Cal’s 2nd year and got worked by Josh Harrelson. He’s such a better coach. LOL.

    • bigbluetruth
      7:03 pm August 28, 2014 Permalink

Tubby owned him, won twice as many games against SLICK RICK. Rick only coaches one way, just like Williams, Krybaby and Self. Each of Cal’s teams at UK has played different, because Cal plays a style suitable to the players he has. That’s why players at LOSERVILLE has no choice but stay 3-4 years before trying to go to the NBA, I guess that’s Rick being better at preparing players on the next level. Cal can take any group, play to who they are and then win while show casing what their talent is.

Little bro’s always have existed. Always wanting to be like big brother, trying to follow in the footsteps but falling short and always hated the ideal that big brother has a better car, home, city, lady, coach, players, facility, tradition, less tattoos, less line beards, smaller rap sheets and less players being in the news for doing things almost as stupid as their coaches. So, you do exist, just like a nagging pimple on our BIG BLUE ass that’s not big enough to cause a problem but does seem to best a pest.

Um, this was on ESPN. Matt wasn’t “keeping an eye” on the Tards and seeing “what they’re up to”. (Unlike Card fans who come to this site to “keep an eye out on Big Bro”, and in turn, completely contradict what they post.)

No, this was on on national television to remind America that Cal has absolutely made Pitino his bitch-boy. Lol.
