We’ve got more Auburn beef!
Former Auburn Tiger and current TNT analyst Charles Barkley made headlines earlier on Tuesday when he declared that his alma mater would “kill” Kentucky when the two meet on Saturday to open up their college football seasons. In response, UK Men’s Basketball head coach John Calipari had to make a little wager with King Charles and went on TV to do so.
“Charles, I’ll shave this beard if Auburn wins,” Calipari told Barkley.
“I’ve never grown a beard because I think America deserves to see the money maker.”

Barkley kicks off the conversation calling Kentucky the “lightweight Kentucky Wildcats” and baits Cal into betting on the life of his snow white beard. But Calipari doesn’t waste any time after that lobbing a few friendly jabs at the NBA Hall of Famer, calling Barkley old several times.
“Kentucky’s winning that game. Auburn ain’t winning that game,” Cal said.
The No. 23 ranked Kentucky Wildcats Football team will hit the road and travel down to take on the No. 8 Auburn Tigers at noon this Saturday on the SEC Network.
