John Calipari featured on Fox Sports’ “Halls of Fame”

Coach Cal HOF

Need a basketball fix? John Calipari was featured on Fox Sports’ “Halls of Fame” program, which aired earlier tonight at 6:30 p.m. ET on Fox Sports South. Like the dutiful blogger I am, I tried to watch in order to take notes for you guys, but Fox Sports TN was showing “Reds Live” instead. Another reason to hate baseball, right?

If you missed it too, have no fear! The show will replay plenty over the next few weeks. Here’s the schedule from CoachCal.com (all times Eastern):

Aug. 5: 8:00 a.m., 6:00 p.m.
Aug. 6: 8:30 a.m.,  7:00 p.m.
Aug. 7: 6:00 p.m.
Aug. 9: 10:30 a.m.
Aug. 10: 11:00 a.m., 3:00 p.m
Aug. 11: 1:30 a.m., 6:30 p.m.
Aug. 12: 6:00 p.m.
Aug. 13: 8:30 a.m.
Aug. 14: 6:00 p.m., 10:00 p.m.
Aug. 17: 3:00 p.m.

KSR reader Lisa Brown was kind enough to provide us with a sneak peek, in which Cal says some of his players were “relieved” after the Wisconsin loss:

I can think of a million words to describe my emotions after the game, and I don’t think “relieved” was one of them.

Well, that’s odd. Relieved? Wasn’t he at the same press conference we all watched? I know he’s just trying to take the pressure off, like a good coach should, but not sure “relieved” is a fitting description.

I really don’t buy in that an earlier loss would’ve been “good”. People should go back and watch the last 4 minutes of that game. It will break your heart! Those refs should never be allowed to work another game. Not. Over. It.

I believe in Cal 110%. But like Wildcat Sheli stated….Last 4 minutes almost looked like there was $ involved. I know there wasn’t but it’s just odd how we took the foot off the gas and of all things had shot clock violations. This is why we are Big Blue Fans…..we eat, sleep, live, breath and talk about games 4 months after they were played. Heck….15 years after we played. Proud to be a part of this Big Blue Mist……

i doubt they were at all relieved….and i agree, the last 4 of the final game was ridiculous. multiple shot clock violations killed us, the refs were crap to say the least as well.

No, correction, the Kensucky players were relieved they didn’t have to face Duke in the tourney. That’s the cold hard truth, Coach K and crew would have laid a royal beat down on the sUKs clowns.

    Duke = 2015 NATIONAL CHAMPS
sUKs = constant losers, whiners, wimps
