Joe Lunardi Moves Kentucky up to a Three-Seed

Kentucky is moving on up!

Pigeonholed onto the four-line for quite some time, Kentucky’s Quad 1 victory at LSU helped the Cats climb up Joe Lunardi’s latest Bracket. They also received some help with losses by West Virginia and Penn State.

The upgrade in seed-line does not necessarily help their Midwest Regional matchups in Indianapolis, with Duke as the two and Kansas as the projected one-seed.

Twenty-three days till Selection Sunday.

Ouch. Kansas and Duke as the 1/2. Starting to prefer those brackets sending us to LA as a 4 seed with Zaga/SDSU/Dayton as the 1/2.

Lunardi had no choice. UK won on the road. It also helped that the UK fans dogged him about the Duke loss and where they stood. He still hasn’t changed their seed.

He doesn’t have anything to do with it anyway. He just gives a look at how he thinks it will work out, but This bracket is nothing like they will be at the end of the year. Take a Valium buddy. You’re giving this guy more thought than he deserves! All he is is an overpaid TV personality!

Your statement about giving him more credit doesn’t make sense as this article is giving him credit. Maybe you’re the one taking the drugs? There’s a treatment center near you for that. Good luck.

Easy Wildfeline…..if you didn’t already know Jason74 thinks he’s a legend here and doesn’t like anyone disagreeing with his opinion.

I suspect the only change we’ll see concerning Duke would be to a 1 seed. If there’s the slightest opening for it, they’ll put Duke a 1

Tough but super entertaining bracket. I’ll take premier match ups over playing mid majors who happen to be having a great year.

Honestly, I can see LSU beating Kansas there.

That was my first thought while looking at this bracket. Only issue for LSU is they have no bigs to offset Azubuike(sp?). That guy is an absolute force down low and I believe LSU’s tallest players are 6’6″ in Darius Days and Emmit Williams.

I couldn’t care less about what Joe Lunardi or Joe Dirt says about our seeding and why. He has zero to do with the process

He is really good at WHO gets in, but not so great at seeding historically. Still fun to see different possibilities.

Gimme that. Except I dont think were good enough to beat Kansas.

I’d take that bracket. To be the best you gotta beat the best. At least if we won it all no one can say we had a cake walk like some schools have.

I get what you’re saying about not being afraid. But no, you don’t always have to beat the best, you have to beat whoever is next in your bracket. And I couldn’t care less about what anybody says if we win it all. 😉

Let’s be honest whatever seed the Cats should get based on the consensus, the NCAA will seed them a spot lower. I have watched this play out year after year. If they are projected a 3, the NCAA will seed them a 4.

Puke could lose out and still be a 2 seed. It’s the law.
And, yeah, Loon-ardi is overpaid. Also? Overfed.

I personally think Duke is in for another early upset as a 1 or 2 seed this year. Just have that feel to them. They can be as bad as us shooting the 3 at times, plus they don’t always get the good whistle in those early round games..

Death, taxes, and people prematurely dismissing Calipari Kentucky teams in December and January.

I think we could beat Duke pretty easily. They needed a miracle to beat the Heels and then got smacked down at NC State. If their offense isn’t clicking, they don’t have the defense to beat decent teams. Kansas would be the only one to worry about in this bracket scenario, IMO

Once again, everybody is on here whining about what seed Duke will get.

Lunardi has 14th/16th ranked Seton Hall as a 2-seed. Does anyone care what he thinks? We take care of business and win out, we are a 2–seed. We don’t, likely a 3-4.
