Jarred Vanderbilt Injured in Practice, Considered Day-to-Day

Kentucky’s Jarred Vanderbilt is back on the injury report.

First reported by Matt Jones, the Kentucky small forward was injured in practice yesterday.  He will not practice this afternoon and is considered day-to-day during the SEC Tournament.  We do not know the severity of the Vanderbilt’s injury or a possible time-table to return.

The Good News — the door is open for a potential return in time for the NCAA Tournament.  The Bad News — Kentucky’s frontcourt has been lost over the last month without Vanderbilt on the floor.

I hope he feels better soon. Not because we’d be lost without him, but because he’s a human being who is injured.

What’s the injury, hopefully not the same injury he’s struggled with over the past couple of years

I hope he didn’t reinjure his foot, and whatever it is, it is not serious. Sucks!

“First reported by Matt Jones”. So what? Matt reports something 1 minute before someone else, and we’re supposed to care why?

No one said you had to care. It is common to give credit to someone for being the first to report a story.

Time for either SKJ or Richards to step it up. Hope one takes advantage of the opportunity.

Not all that worried about the SEC tournament anyways. Hopefully gives Richards and SKJ one last shot to step up prior to the NCAA tourney to gain some sort of confidence back. Ah well, I don’t see this team being able to win 6 straight with or without Vanderbilt anyways.

If it’s not too bad of an injury, he has to go pro after this season. Hopefully he can get some money before his body fails him.

Someone posted in the comment section yesterday that he had hurt his foot again, so technically they first reported it

Why does everyone keep talking about Richards needing to step up with this “opportunity”? He has had that all year! He starts every single game! Do you really think he is going to flip a switch and become KAT? I say put SKJ in there and give him a chance. Get well soon JV.

Gosh, it’s so easy to just jump on here and call, “it’s over” and “we done!”. Why can’t our fanbase just stay positive and see the opportunities and potential ahead? We have a lot of talent on this team, we’ve shown recently that we’re starting to click, and there are zero teams out there that look unbeatable. I haven’t put a lot of emphasis on the Florida loss, not too many teams could have beaten them that day. They played so inspired and had their offense dialed up for the emotion of the day. Plus we have all neutral site games the rest of the way. Damn, I’m so glad we don’t have to deal with our SEC officiating on the road anymore! We can still make a deep run going forward. My glass is still half full guys.

BBNDude, you’re like an ass pimple. You serve no purpose, cause discomfort, and you never go away. I’m sure that’s your goal for being here. Since KSR has no intention of moderating or blocking you out, we all try to just ignore you. But the stupidity and hate is so hard to ignore. To me, there is little doubt that you are the reincarnation of our former pest.
