Jalen Rose pleads the fifth when asked if he considered joining UK staff

When Orlando Antigua left Lexington for sunnier pastures back in April, there was a rumor floating around that Jalen Rose was a candidate to fill his seat on the UK bench. At the time, it was just that: a rumor. But today, Rose released his latest podcast and it included some talk that adds a little credibility to that rumor.

Rose told his podcast co-host, Dan Jacoby, “There are a few college coaches that I would consider working for; John Calipari is one of them.” When Jacoby asked he if had spoken to Cal about it, Rose said, “I plead the fifth.”

Rose then went on to talk about how much he loves his job on ESPN’s NBA coverage and with Bill Simmons on Grantland, adding that it would take a special opportunity to pull him away.

The hate from ESPN just keep on keeping on. Programs with the most consistency in last 5 years and they have KU, Florida and Duke in front of UK. I really don’t have a problem with the Gators but the only thing KU and Duke have been consistent about is getting beat out early in the NCAA has a highly seeded team but much weaker teams. Keep hating and the CATS will keep winning.

For one thing don’t call me homie, and two first round losses as a 2 and 3 seed is worst than one NIT with NOEL going out with an injury. It’s idiots like you that should apply to go to work at ESPN, your as bright as they are.

I’m actually very smart. I was just pointing out the flaw in your argument. You don’t get to just discard seasons cause you want to. Everyone has injuries. Like kansas and embiid this year homie.
