Isaiah Jackson on 2021 Karl Malone Award Preseason Watch List

Watch list season continues with yet another UK freshman landing a spot on a preseason positional award list.

This time it is Isaiah Jackson among the top 20 players in early consideration for the 2021 Karl Malone Award, given to the nation’s best power forward. A five-star prospect ranked No. 30 overall in the Class of 2020 incoming freshman class, Jackson has been one of the early surprises in UK’s preseason practices.

Keion Brooks, Kentucky’s only experienced player from a year ago, did not make the list despite being projected to start over Jackson at power forward.

    The term power forward doesn’t leap to mind when I see his frame.

      True that. I don’t see much in the way of Karl Malone there. But I’m pulling for him..
