Isaiah Jackson named SEC Freshman of the Week

Kentucky added a second SEC Freshman of the Week award to this team’s trophy mantle. First it was Dontaie Allen after his breakout performance against Mississippi State in early January and now it is Isaiah Jackson earning honors for being the league’s best rookie in last week’s games.

Jackson averaged 17 points, eight rebounds and two blocks in wins at Vanderbilt and Tennessee. He missed a double-double by one rebound in Nashville and then led Kentucky in scoring in the win over the 18th-ranked Vols.
