Isaac Humphries signs with UK

humphries

As expected, Isaac Humphries will be a member of the Kentucky basketball team this upcoming season. Humphries is expected to move into Wildcat Lodge this weekend, just in time for the start of classes next week.

The 7-footer provides much needed depth for the Cats inside. He will come off the bench as a freshman, but will likely be the starting center for the 2016-17 season.

Humphries was the No. 4 center in the 2016 class, before reclassifying and signing with UK.

And now the roster is complete.

Just a reminder he was 2016 and reclassified to 2015

Does he give us enough cumulative points to move ahead of Duke for the top class?

Duke is only ahead on ESPN, UK no.1 everywhere else.

I don’t care if Duke has the #1 class or not, I just want to beat them in November.

Scout said they are going to rank him at #50 in the 2015 class, need to get updated team rankings.

Also, anybody sad that @kentuckyamleak was shut down, don’t worry, just go to @kentuckyamleak2, ha

Seems like he will fit in just nice. Wish we could have gotten 2-3 of the other top prospects.

      Sarcasm? Poe’s Law.

The number one overall player, number 2 PG and that pretty decent kid from Canada…we may struggle. /S

Don’t worry about the kids who went elsewhere. Remember Mudiay? We were bummed to miss out on him, but we got Ulis who I’m sure many will agree is MUCH better for us.

And we arguably had the #1 class even before the big Australian beast signed. I wasn’t worried at the beginning of the summer. Nope, no sir, not one bit.

This kid will get on the floor this year; now we have depth everywhere.

Huge get for the long run….we are covered in case of injury.

So this kid is better than Aric Holman? Hmmmmmmm…… It’ll be fun watching Holman abuse this Aussie, especially next year.

Holman is 6’9″ and 200 lbs, Humphries is 7’0″ and 245 lbs. Holman is the one who would get abused in this scenario.

An Aussie and a Kiwi and a Canuck? We’re becoming a real Commonwealth team. Where’s Cal going to recruit from next, South Africa? India? Bermuda? Fiji? Singapore?

Well, this years team has a little bit of everything. We can go small or big at the 1. We have an athletic 2 and a shooting 2. We have an energy guy at the 4 or we can go with a strong Alex at the 4. We can go agile at the 5 or we can put some beef on the table. We whined and whined but In the end Cal still gave us what we wanted……A National Championship contender.

Full video of his game against spain in the u17 semis. 22pts 8 rbs. He’s dakari with more athleticism. very impressive. A year of conditioning and he’ll be a pro prospect no doubt.
