8 a game and he’s ROY? No wonder he didnt make it to the NBA. Happy for him, but dude should have stayed in school. Guess NBA never really mattered to him.

He did make a mistake for his future, but in the moment I understand why he did it. Homesick + make money now

Is being “Named Australian League Rookie of the Year” a compliment?

There’s nothing wrong with being a big fish in a small pond if that’s what you want. Good for Isaac.

Yeah 8 a game isn’t earth shattering but looks like somebody has helped develop his game. Either that or he is pretty confident he won’t get yanked for a foul or a mistake.

Pitino would have coached him up – AND gotten him some play money and strippers too!

Congratulations to Humphries! This is awesome for him.

In the world of “what if’s” I’ve often wondered what this U.K. season would have been like had Humphries stayed. My conclusion is that they would not have had a 4 game losing streak, fewer losses overall and would not be playing nearly as fast up and down the court as they are now. He’d prolly get lots of playing time. I’m undecided upon whether this team has better tournament potential now or they might have had more with him.

My sources say that if he had stayed, Cal would have likely Jon Hooded him…

The guy goes home and gets to play pro ball and is named Rookie of the Year. What’s wrong with that? It’s not all about the NBA and it’s not all about America. Australia is a pretty nice country to live and work in.

@UK Big Board Update – Why bring that political crap in here? Unneeded. Let’s just talk about sports, huh?

      LOL

    • To the contrary, I know someone from Australia and I quite enjoyed his stories about cossing the Outback and having to take barrels of gas in the back of the Jeep to do so. I also enjoyed his playing of the didgeridoo.

Way to go, Isaac! Not all guys get to have NBA careers. Doesn’t mean he’s doing something wrong by leaving school right now to play pro ball elsewhere while he still can. Last time I checked he can come back to UK to get his degree at any time. Be proud of our former Cat and be happy for what he’s doing.
