Hofstra’s coach tells Calipari he thinks UK can win the national championship

Hofstra gave Kentucky all they wanted in the first half of today’s game at the Barclays Center, and afterwards, the Pride’s head coach Joe Mihalich told John Calipari that he believes Kentucky can win the national championship.
“I told Cal after the game UK can win it all. They could be cutting down the nets,” Mihalich said via Jerry Tipton. “The story of that team isn’t their talent. It’s their coach and how he gets them to play so hard.”
“I don’t know how you beat them if they’re making their threes,” Mihalich said via Alex Forkner. “As John Chaney used to say, we were layin’ and prayin’ [in the zone].”
Thankfully, the Cats were hitting some threes, shooting 8-23 (34.8%) from behind the arc. Malik Monk had four threes, followed by Derek Willis with two and Dominique Hawkins and Isaiah Briscoe with one apiece.
I appreciate Mihalich’s enthusiasm, but Kentucky’s gotta improve that rebounding and defense to be a championship caliber squad. Today, they were outrebounded by Hofstra 45-41 and had several lapses on the defensive end, most notably in the post; however, it’s December and we should probably just be happy with a 23-point win, right?

“I appreciate Mihalich’s enthusiasm, but Kentucky’s gotta improve that rebounding and defense to be a championship caliber squad. ” Yep Hofstra shot a lousy 34% and 62% from the foul line and still managed to score 73 on UK. That’s not good.
any post game presser links ? I’d like to hear what both coaches had to say. Thanks.
Ain’t happening
Louisville won’t make it past the first round.
