Gregg Marshall supporters buy ad in Wichita newspaper

Gregg Marshall is under investigation for alleged misconduct at Wichita State, with multiple players coming forward with claims of physical and verbal abuse and racist behavior, but still, some Shocker fans stand in his corner.

According to Shocker Nation, there is an ad in The Wichita Eagle newspaper today from “Shockers for Coach Marshall,” a  coalition of “passionate Wichita State supporters who are proud to have Coach Gregg Marshall’s back.”

In case you need a refresher on this whole scandal, last month, multiple outlets reported Marshall physically and verbally abused his players and staff, punching some in the head and demeaning others with ethnic slurs. The Athletic first broke the news that Wichita State is investigating the claims, and Jeff Goodman released his own detailed report, which was compiled over six months and includes interviews with 36 former and current members of the Shockers basketball program. In his response, Marshall didn’t even deny the reported incidents took place, instead admitting his coaching style “isn’t for everyone.”

Despite the allegations and investigation, Marshall is still coaching the Shockers, who resumed practice this past weekend after a temporary COVID shutdown. Odds he’s still coaching when the season tips off on November 25?

The fact that they say they know his true character is hilarious. Unless they are a close family member or friend, they have no idea of his character. They see what he wants them to see. You have to wonder about his character by looking at his choice of wife. For them to stay married would probably mean he’s not quite normal.

“racist behavior”. Its 2020. Let me guess. Did he say his shot was bad or something? Did he make him run a lap? Its 2020, all that today is racist.

He IS racist. Just look at that gang sign. Haha.

Actually, he’s signaling how much the buyout will cost the university. I just don’t know if that’s 1 million per finger or 10 million per finger.
