Going to the UK Basketball Women’s Clinic on Sunday? READ THIS

The UK Basketball Women’s Clinic is coming up on Sunday at Rupp Arena, and if you’re one of the 1,000 or so fans who registered, I have some very important information to pass along. This year’s clinic is going to be different than most; first off, it will be at Rupp and not Memorial Coliseum, but given the number of people expected to attend, UK has been forced to change the autograph policy. For instance…

Players and coaches will only be allowed to autograph basketballs purchased at the camp store

In years past, the team spent HOURS autographing items fans brought to the clinic, but because a record number of fans are expected this year, UK is only allowing autographs on basketballs that will be available for purchase at the camp store. The balls cost $30 each and will be limited to three per person.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The camp store will only accept cash or check, NOT CREDIT OR DEBIT CARDS!

Calipari will also sign one additional item per person

You may bring one item to the camp for Calipari to sign during the registration period from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. That’s the only time he will be available to sign it.

You may tour the Rupp Arena locker room during registration

The clinic officially begins at 1 p.m., but come early during registration (11 a.m. to 1 p.m.) to tour the Rupp Arena locker room. It’s a beautiful space, and definitely worth the time. Think of the selfie potential!

You can park in the Manchester Street Lot

That’s on the west side of Rupp Arena. Parking is free.

Yes, you will get to see the team practice

Sure, the raffle and autographs are nice, but the best part of the women’s clinic is the opportunity to watch the team practice. This year, attendees will get to see the team workout for approximately thirty minutes.

Get excited!

I gave this to my wife for her birthday, and the more I think about it, the more I wish I was going! One of my daughters is going along as well. Should be a great time.
