GIFs After Christmas: 10 Highlights From The Louisville Game

Saturday’s game was a fun one — maybe not at the time, but now that it’s over and in the books, we can say it was a blast. (Let’s pretend we didn’t sweat it out.) I spent my Sunday afternoon watching the replay and then ran it back again today while doing some things around the house. I’ll probably watch it again before bed, too.
But for those of you who forgot to record it or don’t have the time to sit through it again, I ran the entire game through the KSR gif-machine to capture my ten favorite moments.
Below you’ll find some of the best plays, faces and air guitars from the Battle of the Bluegrass.

Tyler Ulis ended UK scoring drought with a floater…

Ulis did it all in Saturday’s win, including this pretty two-pointer midway through the first half to break a six-minute UK scoring drought. Ulis got inside the Louisville zone and threw up a beautiful floater for his first points of the game.
Well that’s not very ladylike…

A young lady seated behind two Kentucky fans interrupted their TV time with a middle finger as ESPN went to break during a first half media timeout. Are you surprised?
Karl’s finger-roll and foul…

Hello, NBA scouts.
Karl showed off his guns…

All those trips up and down the street, pushing a GMC Envoy full of cinder blocks, paid off in the end. Towns flexed his biceps toward the home crowd to let them know he’s the man down low, not Montrezl.
Rick Pitino was angry…

My cousin raised an interesting question over Christmas dinner last week: Can Rick Pitino close his eyes? With all the lifts, tucks and other cosmetic procedures, I’m not sure I’ve seen the wrinkled bag of bones shut his eyelids in years. He certainly didn’t blink when he gave Wayne Blackshear a piece of his mind during a timeout on Saturday.
Coach Cal did some form of dance…

Or maybe he’s mocking a player’s lackadaisical effort. No, it’s a dance. It’s definitely a dance.
Marcus Lee played his banjo again…

Lee plucked his air strings after at least two Aaron Harrison three-pointers. This is now a thing and I will look for it after every made three.
Chris Jones was really bothered by that imaginary injury…

Jones wasn’t giving up on his acting job, long after the replay showed Dakari’s elbow missed his face by two feet. This continued for a few minutes until play resumed without a call.
Maybe he swallowed a bug.
Tyler Ulis fueled, not fazed, by his own blood.

I could watch this forever.
And my favorite moment in the game: Willie stared down Montrezl…
As if the two-handed dunk while Montrezl laid on the ground wasn’t enough.

Lee did the string music after every three, I looked for it every time and saw it. of course I watched the game twice bc I couldn’t concentrate at Shamrocks so had to watch it when I got home.
I liked Aaron glaring at someone in the crowd for a loooong time after his last dagger of a three.
The Cal “dance” was in response to a ticky tack whistle on one of our bigs. He was saying, one pushes a bit, the other pushes a bit….no foul deserved, or at least call it on both ends.
As my wife so astutely noted : That last Willie gif is very reminiscent of the Patterson Bigfoot footage.
Awesome gifs, Drew.
Maybe we could get a photoshop of Chris Jones with Rod “I a man, he a man, you a man” from Arkansas.
What is Booker doing after he hits a 3? He slaps his forearm with the other hand… every time…not sure?
Reloading his gun Rixter! Like a pump shotgun!
I like the new feature.
