Gary Parrish says there’s no gap between Aaron and Andrew Harrison

HarrisonTwins

A common misconception about the Harrison Twins is that Andrew is the more talented of the two. It was Aaron Harrison that won Mr. Basketball in Texas, but for some reason, Andrew has gotten more hype from the media. However, we’re hearing that’s not the case, as is Gary Parrish, who quotes some sources at UK as saying there is no talent gap between the twins:

But Aaron Harrison — AKA, the other Harrison — has been so splendid in preseason workouts that at least one observer close to the program told CBSSports.com that there doesn’t appear to be a gap between the brothers.

“Not at all,” said the source.

This week, three story lines have been making their way around the national media: 1) Julius Randle is better than many thought, possibly worthy of the #1 draft pick; 2) Dakari Johnson is underrated; and 3) Aaron Harrison is no slouch either.

Just think: they haven’t even started practicing full-time yet.

#1 I think the problem is who you sign in through, the other day people were saying they didn’t see the picture of Jeff Sheppard in the back of the pickup, and they said they were signed in through Firefox. back on topic can’t wait to see all this talent on the basketball court, it’s going to be a grown up freshman onslaught of grown men handing out tremendous beatdowns!!! BBN RULES. ILF#9

funny, a year ago Aaron was touted as the better Harrison, then when the fall started it was Andrew as the best and now its both are equally great? Either people really cant tell them apart or they have been pushing each other hard to improve.

Thanks for the post, Mrs TT. I could never differentiate a performance difference in the several high school games I saw the twins play and always wondered why Andrew was more highly rated…

They are are identical twins afterall…

I like their little cherub smiles. Hope to see a lot more smiles this year.

Saw them only a little this summer in the all-star games. Gordon was impressive. Randle was impressive. The Twins, however, didn’t really stand out. Anyone else get that?

According to Bilas… Andrew was a tick or two below what was originally thought when he got on campus, mainly his foot speed and hand quickness. Aaron on the other hand was a little better than thought, mostly in his strength and defensive skills. They landed some where in the middle….

Megan….Yeah, I thought the same thing but with that said I think they will fit in fine for coach Cal. There was a whole lot of Hype because of the twin factor.

Whether equal in talent or not, both are OAD, and both are likely #1 picks.

No doubt in my mind that Aaron will be just as important as Andrew this year.

Andrew has longer hair. Julius will be the first pick in the draft.
