Frank Martin turning to prayer ahead of matchup with UK

Following his team’s win over Florida last night, Frank Martin was asked how he and the Gamecocks will prepare for the trip to Lexington on Saturday with first place in the conference on the line.

His answer?

Prayer.

“I’m going to pray a lot in the next 48 hours,” Martin told the SEC Network. “I’m going to make sure I go to church again and put my arms together and make sure I call for the almighty to help us out and give us some courage going into Rupp Arena.”

Martin said he has no doubt his guys will play hard, but Kentucky is “so good” and “so fast.”

“It’s going to be an unbelievable challenge for us.”

Totally agree! Coach Martin is a great coach and has done an outstanding job in a very short amount of time at South Carolina. Hope he stays with them for years to come, he is an asset to SEC basketball. Welcome to Lexington and Rupp Arena Coach Martin. Good luck, but please understand, the CATS must prevail.

Do you think the Louisville hookers prayed with the recruits before the shows started?

Good thing there is no god. This will be a good result for us unless he can think of something else that has a chance to work.
