Four Kentucky Wildcats make Forbes’ Top 100 Highest-Paid Athletes List

Forbes just released its list of the Top 100 highest-paid athletes in the world in 2020, and four former Kentucky Wildcats made the cut.

John Wall came in at No. 42 with earnings of $31.2 million ($28.7 million salary, $2.5 million endorsements). Wall signed a $167 million contract extension with the Wizards back in July 2017 that runs through the 2022-23 season. After sitting out last season with a ruptured Achilles tendon, he says he is 110% ready to take the court.

Anthony Davis is next on the list at No. 44 with earnings of $30.4 million, $20.4 million of that coming from his salary, $10 million from endorsements (shoutout to Red Bull and Ruffles). Devin Booker is No. 62 with $26.6 million in earnings ($20.6 million salary, $6 million endorsements), followed by his former teammate Karl-Anthony Towns at No. 87 with $23.5 million ($20.5 million salary, $3 million endorsements).

The top five highest-paid athletes in the world? Roger Federer ($106.3 million), Cristiano Ronaldo ($105 million), Lionel Messi ($104 million), Neymar ($95.5 million), and LeBron James ($88.2 million).

Check out the full list at the link below. I’m sure it will find its way into John Calipari’s recruiting pitch sometime soon.
