Florida has its leading candidate for Donovan’s job and it’s WHO?

Louisiana Tech’s Michael White is the name at the top of Jeremy Foley’s list of candidates to replace Billy Donovan at Florida. According to Pat Forde, maybe the most unlikable human being in sports journalism, a meeting between Foley and White could happen as soon as today.

White has a 101-40 record in four seasons at Louisiana Tech, per a Google search of “Michael White Louisiana Tech.” He was on the short list of candidates to replace Cuonzo Martin at Tennessee around this time last year, but decided to stick around Louisiana for a new six-year contract extension. The Florida job might be enough to pull him away.

For what it’s worth, he was not one of my nine candidates to replace Donovan last night.

Coach Cal only has 38 losses in 6 seasons at UK. This would be a terrible hire by Florida.

LOL, indeed! My very first thought was, “So, Pat Forde thinks Florida is going to replace Eddie Munster with Pee Wee Herman?”
