Kentucky’s massive 77-64 road victory over Tennessee broke a four-game losing streak at Thompson-Boling Arena, with the team’s last win in Knoxville coming back in 2015.

But what about some of the other impressive statistics from the gritty victory?

The fine folks over at UK Athletics compiled a list of postgame notes, updated season stats, and facts that paint a picture as to how the victory came to fruition and what it means moving forward.

Here are five of the best and most impressive they had:

Immanuel Quickley is on a 12-game streak of double-digit scoring

Quickley led the Wildcats with 18 points, including 14 in the second half alone.

    • It is his 12th straight game in double figures. The last Wildcat to do so was PJ Washington, who had 12 straight double-figure games from Jan. 15 to Feb. 23, 2019.
    • He’s averaging 17.8 points over the last 12 games.
    • He’s led the Wildcats in scoring six times this season.

Kentucky has never won a title without winning in Knoxville

A common theme in Kentucky’s eight national titles? They all won on the road at Tennessee.

    • Kentucky has never won a national title without winning in Knoxville in the same season.
    • UK leads 56-52 in Knoxville, Tennessee, ending a string of four straight losses in Thompson-Boling Arena.
    • It was the Wildcats’ first win in Thompson-Boling Arena since 2015.
      • In every season the Wildcats have won at Tennessee in the John Calipari era coming into this season, they’ve advanced to the Final Four.
        • UK did not play in Knoxville for the 2014 Final Four run.

The Cats are undefeated when shooting greater than 50%

Kentucky shot 54.3% from the field, its best mark against an SEC opponent this season.

    • The Wildcats are 7-0 this season when making at least half their shots and 17-2 when shooting a better mark than their opponent.

Kentucky went 10/10 from the line to close the game

Entering the game at 78.3% at the foul line, the Wildcats had another solid performance at 88% (22 of 25).

  • It is UK’s fifth straight game shooting 80% or better, and the Wildcats are at 85.3% during that span.
  • Today, UK made 10 of 10 in the final 3:33 after making 16 of 16 in the final 2:21 on Tuesday against Mississippi State.

Calipari has won 98% of games at UK when leading by 10

  • Kentucky led by as many as 13 points. UK is 278-7 under Calipari when leading by at least 10 points during the game.
  • Kentucky pushed the lead to ten points on ten separate occasions, leading for all but 29 seconds

I’ll post this here as well. People have dogged Kentucky about their 3 point shooting. Unless I calculated wrong they are 59/157 since the Louisville game. I didn’t write it down so I may have made a mistake. That’s 37.6% and would be good enough to rank in the top 25 in the country. I think it’s the bad start and the low volume that makes them seem worse than what they are.

If your calculations are accurate, that is a good sign going forward.

Just got home and tuned in to Carolina/Duke game. Don’t care who wins, although the lesser of the two evils is Carolina. But the thing I’ve noticed right away is how bad the officiating is. Quick whistles, won’t let them play (SEC like) and Carey just fouled out on a very questionable call imo, looked like the guy’s get were not set. But the ref didn’t hesitate at all to get Carey out of there..

Looks odd with both teams wearing blue uniforms.

I’m watching it too and I’ve learned I’m glad we didn’t get the players we wanted that K got.

I can’t believe UNCheat blew the 13 point lead and let it get to OT, doubt they will beat K in OT.

There needs to be some kind of accountability for calls or no calls like that. Also Roy can’t coach, they let duke race down the court unimpeded every possession to erase the 13 point deficit.

Someone was dogging Ashton earlier…he didn’t exactly play great but he helped calm the storm. With 6/6 from the foul line o think he did alright

Agreed, not his best game but he still made some big plays. Same with EJ, he wasn’t horrible, made some big plays as well.

When EJ brings his hustle this team is different. He used to be so down on himself or not motivated, now he’s energy. Rebounds mainly

Loved the effort today. It’s great to have solid free throw shooting this year. The way some of our “fans” complain, you’d think Cal was 7-287 when leading by 10 points, instead of 287-7…looks like another national championship headed our way with the win in Knoxville…Go Cats!!!

If we had this foul shooting last year we would have been hard to keep out of the Natty.

Duke is 3rd place in the ACC, and beat a team that is 10-13. North Carolina has lost to mediocrity all season long and this game is no exception.
    FTs killed the heels.
This is the worst I have seen the ACC in years, and Duke is the epitome of a team that is much higher regarded than they actually are.
The game was pathetic. UNC is only a .434 team. Coached by Roy. Enough said.

And is a projected 2 seed.
