Kentucky Sports Radio

University of Kentucky Basketball, Football, and Recruiting news brought to you in the most ridiculous manner possible.

ESPN2 will air Tyrese Maxey’s Pro Day live on Thursday at 8 p.m. EST

Rich Paul and Klutch Sports continue to break barriers.

Former Kentucky Wildcat one-and-done Tyrese Maxey will participate in a live Pro Day that will be broadcasted on ESPN2 this Thursday at 8 p.m. EST. Joining him will be fellow SEC one-and-done guard and likely top-3 pick in the upcoming NBA Draft, Anthony Edwards out of Georgia.

Maxey is listed in most mock drafts as a borderline lottery pick who experts believe will go anywhere in the 10-20 range. As a freshman at Kentucky, the 6-foot-3 guard averaged 14 points and 3.2 assists per game while shooting 42.7 percent from the field, receiving All-SEC Second Team and SEC All-Freshman honors in the process.

It’s not often that individual Pro Days are nationally televised, if ever. Kentucky as a team has held Pro Days over the last few seasons, most recently last October, but those are typically aired on the SEC Network. Maxey and Edward’s workout will be displayed on ESPN2 during primetime. The 2020 NBA Draft is scheduled for Nov. 18.

Go ahead and clear your Thursday night Netflix plans.

It feels like it was so long ago that he played.

Good luck, but that’s terrible television.
