ESPN college basketball writer predicts “Rupp Sadness”

ESPN’s Myron Medcalf makes his weekend predictions for college basketball each week, and considering there is only one game tomorrow, Medcalf only had to make one pick.

And he picked Louisville over Kentucky.

“Louisville is the better team right now,” he writes, adding that Kentucky doesn’t have the swagger of other Calipari-coached teams in Lexington.

With that lack of home team swagger in mind, Medcalf is taking who he believes is the better team: Louisville.

Read his entire prediction for the game here.

Medcalf is a jerk. Most of what he writes about Kentucky is negative. He was ready to bench Andrew Harrison in mid-December last year. The guy knows nothing about basketball.
    GO CATS !!

Medcalf is a louisville guy or at least anti uk. I think we will be fine if the team that showed up against Duke shows up we will win by 20. Our problem is these not so talented d1 teams our guys plays with no emotion. Playing at home against louisville I think they’ll bring it. At least I hope

^ LOL at anyone who thinks Trump would be better than ANY potential candidate….

But hey, I see why the rednecks love him (apart from the blatant racism, of course)

A loserville win, really? Who have they played that makes them so good all of the sudden?

Irregardless – the best team doesn’t always win – see last season’s Final 4…

Medcalf’s reasoning is flawless, but his prediction shows he doesn’t have the courage of his convictions. “Louisville is the superior team. The best team Pitino has ever coached. The Cardinals showed themselves to be among the elite teams in the nation when they took No. 1 Michigan State to the wire. Meanwhile, Kentucky is struggling. And Big Blue Nation has reason to be concerned. Once a Final Four contender, Wildcat fans are debating whether this team is one of Calipari’s worst, and whether they’ll be playing basketball after the first weekend of the tournament. Prediction: Louisville by one. In double overtime. On a controversial call.”

Are you kidding? Louisville has played the weakest schedule in the nation and Michigan is the only quality team in the lot. They lost. How are you basing them being an elite team? I’m confused. Even if they beat UK this year. How does that qualify them as an elite team? Oh well.
