Kentucky survived a scare in its SEC opener against Georgia, and it’s in for another fight against LSU on Wednesday.

According to ESPN’s Basketball Power Index, the game is pretty much a coin flip with a 50.1/49.9 percent split in the BPI Matchup Predictor.

LSU is promoting its home contest as a “Gold Game” and encouraging fans to wear all gold. Everyone in attendance will also receive gold pom poms because, ya know, Super Bowl.

Will be no easy games on the road in conference play for this young team. We know that when the Cats come to town it’s “super bowl”…game on. The kids will have to grow some resolve. Together

Until those cats learn how to play hard on every play I’m going to have to agree with that. They should be a clear favorite if it was based solely on talent, but that talent has to learn that your talent isn’t going to win the game if you don’t play as hard as the other team.
