About an hour ago, I posted the measurements for UK’s four prospects participating in the NBA Combine, and while the obvious standouts are Hamidou Diallo’s 6’11.25″ wingspan, Isaiah Briscoe’s body fat percentage, and De’Aaron Fox’s weight loss, Draft Express’ Jonathan Givony has delved even further into the numbers. Here’s a little bit of what he had to say about Kentucky’s prospects and their measurements.
“Down over a dozen pounds from that event weighing in at 170 pounds with just 4.5% body fat, Fox will need to get stronger to prepare himself for the rigors of the NBA, but removed any doubt that his low wingspan measurements last fall, which were inconsistent with his prep numbers, were indeed an aberration. ”
“Standing 6’9.75 with a 7’2.75 wingspan, Adebayo’s marks are similar to those he posted at Kentucky’s combine, though he’s actually lost a considerable amount of weight since last fall when he weighed 258 pounds.”
“Isaiah Briscoe measured 6’2.75 in shoes with a 6’9 wingspan and a 222-pound frame with the highest body fat percentage among true guards.”
“Diallo has gained some 10 pounds since last summer, a good sign for the still lean 18-year-old, and his wingspan would rank him among the longest shooting guard prospects in our database all-time whenever he opts to stay in the draft.”
More where that came from over at Draft Express, so go check it out. And then feel slow when you watch Isaiah Briscoe do the shuttle drill:
