Basketball excitement is in full swing with this week’s release of the embargoed interviews and Big Blue Madness right around the corner. But just in case you needed a little something extra to get you fired up for the upcoming season, check out Derek Willis’ Tuesday evening tweet about the new team:

“Fun fact: our team is really good,” it read.

In his fourth year as a member of John Calipari’s Wildcats, Willis knows a thing or two about good basketball. He went to the Final Four in each of his first two seasons and now he’s saying this 2016-17 is really good.

We trust his opinion and we like the sound of it.

I will agree since we have enough good players that we don’t have to count on him playing well for us to be good. I knew we were in trouble last season when everyone kept saying he would need to contribute.
