Derek Willis played a complete game against Missouri, scoring a career-high 18 points and matching his career-high in rebounds with 12 for a second career double-double.
Afterward, he spoke to the SEC Network about his improved play.
“It’s all in my mind, honestly,” Willis said in his postgame interview. “I know I have the skill set to play really good defense and play hard; I’m long, I’m athletic and at times I can be quick. It’s just all in my head and that is how I’ve been playing.”
John Calipari said Willis has made Kentucky a completely different team.
