Tip time has been pushed to 8:20 p.m., which means we have another half hour to wait to find out if De’Aaron Fox will play tonight. John Calipari said on the pregame radio show that De’Aaron will “try” to go tonight, but he will not start. Dominique Hawkins will start in his place, along with Malik Monk, Isaiah Briscoe, Wenyen Gabriel, and Bam Adebayo.
Meanwhile, Mychal Mulder has practiced the last two days and should be fine to go. Sacha Killeya-Jones is still down with the flu, and did not make the trip.
Unfortunately, it looks like the bug going around the Lodge has captured another victim: Tai Wynyard. On radio, Calipari said Tai has been ill, which could limit his minutes. Against Georgia, Tai played a career-high 12 minutes while backing up Bam Adebayo.
In better news, Kentucky will have Karl Towns’ parents cheering them on in Gainesville tonight:

That’s one heck of a good omen if you ask me.
