Davion Mintz announced his commitment to Kentucky at 10:17 a.m. this morning for a reason. The Creighton grad transfer told ESPN’s Jeff Borzello that the numbers 10 and 17 have special meaning to him, just one interesting tidbit we’re learning about the Cats’ newest guard.

“Those are numbers that always pop out to me,” Mintz said. “They are just always everywhere. Could be an address, time on the clock in the game, actual time. It’s been happening for years. Coach Cal offered me at that time as well.”

Noted. How many of us are going to go through his old highlights to see what happens at 10:17, 17:10, etc.? Also, I guess we know that John Calipari offered him at 10:17 a.m. yesterday morning?
