Coach Cal shares his thoughts on how the draft played out

John Calipari wrote a brief piece on his website today to share his thoughts on how last night’s draft played out for his sons.

“This morning, as I looked back on the NBA Draft, I tried to put things in the right perspective,” he wrote. “The goal is to be drafted. I want all of my guys to be drafted in the top 10 picks, and when they’re not I’m disappointed.”

He went on to say Jamal Murray, Skal Labissiere and Tyler Ulis can prove themselves to their new teams, while Alex Poythress, like Aaron Harrison, can prove himself in the summer league and pick the right team.

“At the end of the day, every one of our kids has an opportunity to reach their dreams, and that’s what we’re in the business of doing.”

This is basically a nightmare for him –

I mean, his own stated goal is to get kids to the next level – He did a lousy job (I know they all will have their shot but they all did worse then expected)

NBA Draft day is supposed to be his Super Bowl – He lost

I wish he’d go be a NBA agent because he ain’t winner anymore Championships. And one is a failure with all the talent he”s had in his career.
