With all the players back on campus, UK decided to throw fans a bone by releasing their complete 2015-2016 basketball roster this afternoon. Check it out all the updated heights and weights above, or on their website.

If you compare it to last year’s roster:

  • Alex Poythress has lost eight pounds
  • Tyler Ulis has gained five pounds
  • Marcus Lee has gained four pounds
  • Dominique Hawkins has gained five pounds
  • EJ Floreal has gained three pounds
  • Derek Willis is the same.

Your backcourt: Tyler Ulis (5’9″), Jamal Murray (6’4″), Isaiah Briscoe (6’3″), Mychal Mulder (6’4″), Charles Matthews (6’6″)

Your frontcourt: Skal (6’11”), Isaac Humphries (7′), Marcus Lee (6’9″), Alex Poythress (6’8″), Derek Willis (6’9″)

New numbers:

  • 1 – Labissiere
  • 4 – Matthews
  • 10 – David
  • 11 – Mulder
  • 13 – Briscoe
  • 15 – Humphries
  • 23 – Murray
  • 32 – Pulliam

I like how there’s a “Country” column now. Speaking of, they need to add “Canada” to Murray’s line. He wore the flag as a cape, after all.

Can’t wait to see these kids play. I have a feeling we’re all going to be pleasantly surprised this year.

Marcus dropping a zero after Delk’s double zero was retired? Just a guess.

^^That would actually be an extremely awesome gesture by Marcus. I hope that’s the case.

Would you call me crazy if I felt like this team will be better than last year? I’m not saying a 38 game win streak to start the season or anything and I know we haven’t seen them play but I cant help but feel like this team is going to be explosive.

I agree. I think they are going to be fun to watch and could be better. They are going to be tough to defend.

I think you very well could be right to an degree .As i view this team i keep coming back to it’s front court.which is solid starting 5 . I think if Willis steps up like we all know he is capable of and plays solid it will be hard to stop these Cats at seasons end.I am not sure i have seen an team period like last years Cats not even the great UCLA teams were as deep.Although they fell short there last 2 games they brought an excitement to UK i have never seen day in day out .However It’s an Big Blue thing most wouldn’t understand we move on to this year and eye #9 which has been an hard goal over the pass 3 years where we have stood at the front door of #9.Maybe this is our year to open that door and enter into #9 ‘s house.

Someone should clue Humphries in that in Kentucky, “Hoss” is a term of endearment. I foresee him being nicknamed something like that until he wears denim shorts or does a silly dance at BBM.

Kitchener is in Canada, yes. They could throw in the province under ‘State’.

    And it’s spelled ‘Kitchener’.

Looks like nine or 10 pretty good players on that roster. Guys who should see a lot of minutes. As Cal says they’ll be fine.

Murray and Mulder are closer to 6′ 5″ than to 6′ 4″, Skal is 7′ 0″ or close to it! They have chose to not use exact figures!
