Championship Week starts early with Brad Calipari’s Detroit Mercy

Detroit Athletics
The calendar has not yet turned to March, but the Madness is already here.
Tonight the first conference tournament of the season tips off when the Horizon League opens postseason play at various campus sites. Brad Calipari’s Detroit Mercy team will be the first to take the hardwood, hosting Robert Morris in a 5-12 matchup at 7 pm ET on ESPN+. If they win the Titans will travel to Northern Kentucky next Tuesday in a second round matchup at BB&T Arena.
After missing postseason play in 2020, the Horizon League bracket is a thing of beauty.
The best news? There are so many more conference tournaments on the way. You can see when each begins here, and while you’re at it, fire up the beautiful sounds of the season.
“Championship Week! Championship Week! There’s really not another week like Championship Week!”

Wonder how much playing time Dontaie Allen would get if his last name was Calipari???
Nah. Cal ran him off. Haha.
Hahaha… we both know if Dontaie Allen was Calipari’s kid, he’d be starting!!
This explains why we couldn’t get a game scheduled this week.
NCAA tournament invite is “EARNED NOT GIVEN”
