Cats win the first of 40 games, 78-65

Jamal Murray had a game-high 19 points and a game-high eight assists (most ever in a UK freshman debut) as Kentucky defeated Albany, 78-65, tonight in Rupp Arena. Murray showed us once again that he will be one of the stars in college basketball this season by putting on a show with several highlight reel dunks throughout the win. He’s going to be special, folks.
As for everyone else, there is a lot to improve before this team is anywhere near ready to handle Duke next week. Plenty to work on between now and then, and I’m sure John Calipari will have lots to say about it in tonight’s press conference. We’ll have that up in just a bit.
For now, enjoy 1-0!

Cats are no where ready for Duke and may get embarrassed by them. Way to many mistakes and give up lots of offensive rebounds to a small team like Albany. They may struggle tomorrow night and I would not be surprised. Be ready for some early season losses fans because it will happen.
LOL. Duke is just as young as we are…
