Kentucky’s first exhibition game is behind them and it did not come as easy as many expected, given the bludgeoning they did of professional teams in the Bahamas earlier this year. Transylvania hung around (by exhibition game standards) and kept the Cats’ high-powered offense under 100, while scoring 66 of their own on a much bigger and more athletic defense.
EJ Montgomery was the leading scorer for UK, like no one expected, with 14 points off the bench. Quade Green, Keldon Johnson and Nick Richards each had 13 points, slightly ahead of PJ Washington and Reid Travis with 12 apiece.
Your favorite player, Tyler Herro, scored only four points on 1-for-8 shooting from the field.
For Transy, I think everyone with a valid school ID checked into the game.
