Cats ranked No. 2 in USA Today Preseason Poll

Kentucky earned a second-place spot in USA Today’s preseason college basketball poll, falling one spot behind No. 1 Kansas in the early rankings. The Cats are also ranked second in the AP poll, which means your favorite basketball team is No. 2 in both of the major polls.

The complete USA Today rankings are as follows (2017-18 record):

    What pre-season polls was KSR lookin at when they had 5-6 SEC schools in the top 25???

      There are four SEC teams ranked in the top 25 on both the AP Poll and Coaches Poll. Three more SEC schools received votes and sit just outside the top 25 in the AP Poll.

    Does this include the Kansas player’s sitting out? Self said he wasnt playing him until he is cleared

      It’s all good. Let them have it. It’s kind of a jinx, anyway. (See: this is the third time Bill Self has had the Preseason #1 team at Kansas and the previous 2 times they failed to even make it out of the first weekend of the tournament.)
