After last Saturday’s monumental win over bitter in-state rival Louisville, the Kentucky Wildcats moved up to No. 11 in ESPN’s latest BPI ratings. Similarly to the widely used RPI and Kenpom power rankings, ESPN’s newest method of sorting college basketball teams takes into account a full array of factors to display into one numerical statistic. If you’re interested in learning more about exactly how the College Basketball Power Index works, additional information can be found here: [LINK].

Each team’s BPI is listed on a scale of 1-100, with 50 being average. The higher a team’s BPI number, the better. Currently, the ‘Cats sit at an impressive 88.6, good for best in the SEC. Arizona’s BPI is top in the nation at 92.7, while Louisville sits at No. 16 with a score of 86.6.
