Camp Cal is going strong while Calipari travels the country

Coach Cal was in Mississippi on Monday, New Orleans last night, and he’ll be in Myrtle Beach this evening, but that doesn’t mean Camp Cal isn’t underway in Lexington. The assistant coaches are working hard with the players during this 10-day break between games and Cal heard things are going well in his absence.
“We are right in the middle of what I like to call Camp Cal,” Calipari tweeted this afternoon. “There may be times I’m not with the guys because I’m recruiting or doing something else, but every day we are lifting, doing individuals and practicing. Yesterday we had one of our better practices and then they had individuals in the evening, which I heard were outstanding. A couple of our guys are banged up but they are getting treatment and they are in the training room three or four times a day. Just because I’m doing double duty, don’t think this team isn’t in camp and isn’t getting better. We are making a lot of strides right now.”
Cal said yesterday they’re focusing on defensive rebounding, physical play, offensive execution, motors, and competitiveness.
“All that stuff has to continue to grow.”

If they are working on DF and physical play, the odds of Kentucky completing the corruption of college basketball against Ole Miss have to be extremely high.
‘Just because I’m doing double duty, don’t think this team isn’t in camp and isn’t getting better. We are making a lot of strides right now.’ -Coach Cal, after day #2 of ‘Camp’
If this season is anything like seasons past, this team will look like a newly oiled machine coming out of Camp Cal. this may be the single most frightening thing to think about if you are any team that has to face these Wildcats!
On aside…a Bleacher Report article recently called WCS and KAT the ‘Humungous Hyphens!’ Made me literally laugh at my desk!
actually what’s going on is “camp without Cal” 🙂
