Calipari: “We’re not ready”

At the conclusion of his interview with Tom Leach on the official postgame show, John Calipari reiterated what he said in the press conference — that Kentucky simply isn’t ready for games like the one it played in Louisville tonight.
“It’s December 21st and we’re starting four freshmen and a sophomore,” he told the show. “We’re not ready to go on the road and beat a top 10 team. We’re not ready. It shows we’re not ready.”

While I agree with coach, I will add that playing this game on the short heels of another solid team where they had to leave everything on the court didn’t help matters. Add flying from Vegas to that as well. I’m just saying that has impact
But we had better be ready to have a lot of freshmen teams ~ because most of our really good players are gonna leave us. Also, free throws could have won us the game. Did I mention that I really miss Karl Towns, Willie Cauley Stein, Booker, Trey Lyles ,Poythress, and Ulis? LOL
I miss a defense that defends!
Though we have many T shirt nights on the road in the SEC, it will not be against top 10 competition. That is the problem. Let’s hope it doesn’t matter.
