Calipari thanking friends along the way for making Hall of Fame induction happen

Brandon Weems (pictured left) used to be a graduate assistant and assistant director of basketball operations at Kentucky before taking an assistant coaching job at Drexel. LeBron James’ close friend is now the assistant coach at Oakland University, but remains very loyal to the Cats and John Calipari.

After Calipari was introduced as a member of the 2015 Hall of Fame class this morning, Weems posted this message on Instagram congratulating him and telling his followers that when Calipari found out he was a finalist, he reached out to Weems to thank him for helping him on his journey:

Calipari may be a great coach, but he’s an even better friend.
