Head coach John Calipari says the Wildcat are down one player from the rotation due to injury, though the hope is he can return to the practice floor today. As for who that player is, Calipari wasn't willing to spill the beans. "We still got a player injured. I’m not going to tell you," Calipari said. "I’m hoping he can practice some today. When you have that, it takes away even more. But, we’re not the only one. There are no excuses here." Leading up to Kentucky's loss to North Carolina this past weekend, Calipari noted that a few players were out with "some stuff," keeping the team from scrimmaging throughout the week. "We haven’t been able to scrimmage the last couple of days," he said at the time. "We’ve had some guys out with some stuff. But the guys that were there got better." And then after the loss, the UK head coach added that the players who could not practice were the ones who looked the worst during the game, a change he's going to need to make moving forward. If a player can't practice in the days leading up to the game, he likely doesn't need to start the next time they play. "We had a couple guys not practice this week, and you can probably tell who didn't play they're capable of playing," Calipari said. "You can say, "It was this guy and this guy." So being able to practice, if you're not, you're probably going to need to be coming off the bench. You can't be a starter, you be that other guy." Will this injury make the Wildcats even more shorthanded against the Cardinals this weekend?
