Calipari on Reid Travis: “Hopefully he’s OK”

John Calipari did not have a post-game update on Reid Travis’ knee injury; he can only hope the injury is not a severe one that will keep his star forward out any longer.

“His knee was bothering him, so we’ll get the MRI and go from there and see,” Coach Cal said after the game. “Hopefully he’s going to be OK.”

Cal didn’t even see the collision that caused the knee strain, he admitted, but it changed the way Kentucky played in the second half.

“When Reid got hurt, I was just trying to get out of the gym. We were tentatively offensively,” he told Tom Leach in his radio interview. His message to his team was “let’s just get out of here.”

“Hopefully he’s going to be OK”. Now there’s the understatement of the year.
I agree 100%…feel better soon, big guy.

I think Travis will take 2 games off to rest and return against UT. Don’t know why, but I’m optimistic and have a good feeling.

Cal took the words out of the mouth of the entire BBN. In any case, over the next few games SNR needs to grow up and become BBNR (Big Boy Nick Richards).
