Cal talks about the media’s reaction to the win over Louisville and storming the court

If you listened to John Calipari’s radio show last night, you could tell that Swaggy Cal was back. Aside from telling fans not to worry about free throws, Cal let a few more eye-opening comments fly about the media’s reaction to the win over Louisville and whether or not UK fans would ever storm the court. Let’s have a listen:

But Cal, Dana O’Neil and Pat Forde will never get the hour it took them to write a new story back.

Now, the not-so-subtle dig at Indiana:

Something tells me we won’t be playing in Bloomington for a very, very long time.

You can listen to Calipari’s entire radio show over at

I really tried to write a second story after your team got luck against UL but my keyboard jammed!

Got lucky against Louisville? They lead almost the entire game (barring the first few minutes where Louisville jumped out to an 8-0 lead), and the margin would have been even bigger if it weren’t for missed free throws. You might want to look up “lucky” in the dictionary, because I’m not sure you know what it actually means.

@PhilUK18 You are an idiot….This person is pretending to post as Pat Forde. There are several words in the dictionary you should also look up!

Bret- thanks for your oh so clever input, but with all the Louisville trolls that frequent this site now, there’s no telling what idiotic drivel is posted that people really mean. This could have easily been one of those cases. I know one word I don’t have to look up, douche bag, bc you’ve just demonstrated it’s meaning perfectly.

“If we won a game against the number one team in the country at Rupp Arena, would people charge the court? No! You’re suppose to. This is Kentucky, we don’t do that here”

We don’t charge the court, we own the court !

I believe that Louisville and Indiana should start playing on an annual basis. That way one of the two miserable fan bases will get to gloat, and maybe even charge the court each year.

As a side note, we could potentially have two CLAPPIES on the sideline !

      Or, above could have read…..

We could have a CLAP and a CLAPPY on the sideline.

Cal’s best comments last night concerned getting the homeless off the streets. He used almost an entire segment talking about it, and I never felt more proud.

Those sentiments fall on deaf ears in this rightwing state. In fact that want to, and actually are, actively putting more homeless on the streets. They cut every program possible for the poor and campaign for more tax cuts for the rich. Just recently cut WIC and won’t renew unemployment benefits for 1.2 million people. To them the homeless on the street deserve to die. And that’s not even an exaggeration.

Yeah man! I’m for that too. Was he talking about the state of KY or the entire U.S.A. We all know money grows on trees and with the millions of gallons of green ink we have, it’s as simple as just printing the stuff. I think we should expand it to the entire world. No human being on planet earth should be homeless, without a dog, and without a tree to hug. It’s just criminal for the tea baggers not to understand this stuff.

You are a complete and total brainless idiot and are no doubt incapable of thinking for yourself. People like you should have to pass a competency test before they are allowed to vote !

      By the way,

Rightwing ghouls….if you like your health plan you can keep it….and, if you like your doctor you can keep he/she.

      By the way,

This global warming is going to freeze us all to death. And, I know that you will reply that global warming it is based on science. Let me just say that I clearly understand that global warming is based on science. However, it is based on “Political Science” and not environmental science and that is where your brain washed thinking is misguided. Problem is, you are either not smart enough to understand, or you are completely on the government tit, like millions of others, and simply do not care as long as someone else is footing the bill.

Cal does not want opposing fan bases to storm the court because his players might get disoriented were they ever surrounded by a group of actual college students!

Roy takes his team off the court before a court storming. It can be dangerous for the players and fans. Bottom line: none of the elite should ever storm their own court. Ever.

I think it would be more likely for UK Fans to storm the court if the people in the lower arena we not for the most part old, retired, rich/care-free. Disagree if you may, but if more students were in the lower arena, it would be more likely for a “court storm” after a huge win.

UK might not storm the court at the shopping mall aka Rupp Arena. They just riot in the streets after beating Louisville in the Final Four in 2012. Stay classy calipari. You fit in well with your inbred fan base.

Sounds to me like cal is crying again. He’s still crying after how many years? This was a stepping stone to bring Indiana basketball back to national prominence where they belong and always have been. A program that has 5 national titles and bleeds basketball. IU made a mistake by hiring a shady coach that left a basketball mecca in shambles. Cal should know ask about that! This was not a disrespectful action, this was a celebration! Them boys earned that celebration by bringing a struggling program back from the ashes!!! GO IU. F*C* UK. Use your initials to fill that in, cry baby!

Of course UK doesnt charge the court. Why would you? Always act like you have been there before!
In UL’s defense they have beaten a few #1 teams at home and they have never rushed the court for any game. Both UL and UK have rushed the field though! IU actually rushed the court for a win against Illinois in Creans second season!!! Illiinois was ranked 18th!!!!! Losers
