Cade Cunningham will stay in Stillwater and play for Oklahoma State

Cade Cunningham is staying put.

The top-ranked basketball recruit in America and future NBA lottery pick announced Monday morning he will play for Oklahoma State next season.

Cunningham could have spurned the folks in Stillwater after the NCAA placed a postseason ban on the program. Even without the opportunity to play in the NCAA Tournament, Cunningham is remaining loyal to Mike Boynton’s program.

The decision to stay at Oklahoma State is somewhat of a shock. He could have played professionally or attended the school that finished second in his recruiting sweepstakes, Kentucky. Ultimately, playing for his brother Cannen, an assistant on Boynton’s staff, was an opportunity he could not pass up as the Cowboys fight the NCAA’s postseason penalty.

I mean he only went there because they hired his brother on the coaching staff, why would he leave there if they still had him on staff?

Easy way to funnel money to the family, ask Cal as he has hired family members, or aau coaches, to get recruits as well. Many do it and will continue to. Another part of the dirtiest business in college sports……recruiting.

Got to admit you’re right for once. That evil genius Cal hired Kenny Payne years ago to get his son Zan to come to UK and sit on the bench.

mashbum has no conscience, he’ll lie to try to prove his narrative. He’s so consumed with hatred for Cal he probably can’t even hold down a job or take care of his mate, whichever sex it is.

Cal took flak when he hired Milt Wagner, but he pressed Milt to finish his degree at Memphis, kept him on staff for four years after his son Dajuan left for the NBA, and helped him advance his coaching career first as an assistant at UTEP and then at Auburn. So Cal took care of his own. He remained true to his hire, which is more than you can say about most such hires, which usually end very quickly after the player in question leaves.

Although the NCAA allows it, obviously, there’s little to distinguish such a hire from impermissible benefits (giving a relative a job, paying a family member money to gain an advantage in recruiting). How long will Boynton keep Cade’s older brother on the staff after Cade leaves? We’ll see, and when we do, we’ll be in a better position to judge how honorable a man Boynton is. Right now, it’s too early to call.

I’m glad he’s starting so we will hearing about him. I was done hearing about him last November when he “almost” committed on his visit and then changed his mind

Lol OMG, oh God, I cant stop laughing ! At the fact Mashburnfan thinks any of us actually care what he thinks ! Kind of like Matt and his liberal thoughts !

Quoting from Wiki, liberalism is a political and moral philosophy based on liberty, consent of the governed and equality before the law. Liberals espouse a wide array of views depending on their understanding of these principles, but they generally support free markets, free trade, limited government, individual rights (including civil rights and human rights), capitalism, democracy, secularism, gender equality, racial equality, internationalism, freedom of speech, freedom of the press and freedom of religion.

So yeah, sounds like Matt and his liberal thoughts are the devil.

Again quoting from Wiki, conservatism is a political and social philosophy promoting traditional social institutions in the context of culture and civilization. The central tenets of conservatism include tradition, organic society, hierarchy, authority, and property rights. Conservatives seek to preserve a range of institutions such as religion, parliamentary government, and property rights, with the aim of emphasizing social stability and continuity. The more traditional elements … oppose modernism and seek a return to “the way things were.”

Preserving traditional culture, promoting authority, and emphasizing social continuity become very important tenets when you belong to the traditionally dominant and oppressing race and feel threatened by “others.” So we get where you’re coming from. Thanks for sharing!

Dan1965 take your stupid ass dummy politics elsewhere with Mashburnfan1. This is a sports site. I bet the players your cheer for believe in Matt Jones and his liberal thoughts. So you bring politics into sports you shouldn’t cheer for players that believe diff than you do.

Hey, Flippy, check your notes. It was Matt Jones who brought politics into this site so as to promote his destructive leftist ideology…
